Skillet

Skillet is an American Christian Rock band formed in 1996 by Ken Steorts and John Cooper. At the beginning this band was just a side-project later joined by a temporary drummer, Trey McClurkin. Skillet has been a two time Grammy award nominee for two of their albums called Collide   and Comatose. Yet their album that caused them to be recognized in the christian rock division was Invincible, which was released four years after the band was actually made. Said by the lead vocalist John Cooper, the name Skillet at first was a joke. It was meant to throw different rock styles into a skillet and get awesome results. The band currently consists of four members. Husband and wife John and Korey Cooper, Jen Ledger and Seth Morrison. However the only original member of the band who has been singing in it from day one, is John Cooper. Korey Cooper is the keyboardist of the band. Jen is the drummer who has been working with Skillet for about four years. In fact she was a replacement for the retired drummer of Skillet, Lori Peters. Seth Morrison who joined Skillet last year to replace the lead guitarist Ben Kasica(who worked with the band for 10 years) is the newest member of the band. Currently Skillet is working on their new album and hope to release it in fall. Here are some other Skillet notable albums:
